This blog is dedicated to pursuit of raising public awareness and young people's interest in the areas of science, technology, and engineering.  And not just awareness but desire to apply of those pursuits to the betterment of the human condition.  Our future will require us to rethink many facts of life; we will need to revolutionize education so that it focuses on practical skills that are applicable to the real-world, personal manufacturing, entrepreneurship,  adopting a do-it-yourself mindset, appreciation of the possibilities and constraints of technology, design engineering principles; and the spreading of rational, independent scientific thinking to name a few.  The future will be bright for those who can adapt and develop the skills necessary to design, build, and create those things that start off as nothing but a dream. To find me elsewhere on the web, please visit:
